However, with Shinsan’s Water Treatment Unit, tap water has become more widely consumed in Korea.              Water treatment is a process used to make water more acceptable for certain type of uses. It includes tap water, drinking water, industrial water and water for medical uses. The purpose of this water treatment is to eliminate all existing contaminants in water. There are several different types of water treatment processes. For drinking water, physical processes such as settling and filtration take place as well as chemical processes such as disinfection and coagulation. In addition, biological processes such as aerated lagoons, activated sludge or slow sand filters are also used.              Shinsan’s WTU can filter any type of water into drinkable or industrial water by using different types of physical and chemical filters or by using RO unit. Reverse osmosis (RO) unit is a filtration method that can remove many types of large molecules and ions from solutions by applying pressure to the solution. This RO unit is commonly used in purifying seawater to drinkable water by removing the salt and other substances.              Within three years of their establishment in 2006, Shinsan has successfully exported their WTU to Cuba and South and Middle America, just like the company’s vision “To become the premier provider of environmental solutions to the world by becoming the number one innovator within our industry.”              Now they are closely working with GE water and Process Technologies East Korea Agent to further improve water quality..   Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
